I say no fear, but do I really mean it? The question is, am I going to jump off one of the world’s tallest buildings? Downtown Auckland is home to the Sky Tower, standing at 328 meters. You can actually jump off it with a harness, though it’s wicked expensive. I am old enough, but Mom and Dad are uncertain. They think that I might go up and be too scared. I want to try though. Where else will I have the chance? We went there today but decided not to do it then. We wanted to wait until one of our relatives visit us.
We took the ferry downtown, which was actually very fast and had a beautiful view. It was about 45 minutes, and when we got there, we saw a street performer. We sat and watched him for about 30 minutes. He put fire in his mouth! Dad doesn’t think it was actual fire, but I think so. We ate lunch, and then went to the Sky Tower. You were allowed to go up for a reasonable price and look out on the city. There were windows everywhere. There was even a glass square on the floor at some parts, but my family didn’t like standing on it. Dad said it gave him the heebie-jeebies. After that we saw a McDonalds and went in to get an elusive McDip, but they were sold out again! 0 out of 3 times! We just got Ben and Jerry’s and took the ferry back.
