New Zealand is sort of like Louisville, with some differences. First, the steering wheel is on the right AND they drive on different sides of the road. Second, a lot of people here are from different cultures, which is kind of cool. You hear a lot of different accents. Third, there’s a lot more wildlife. There are plants growing everywhere. Fourth, recycling is a big deal here. At the mall food court, workers sort your trash into different bins, for compost, recycling and rubbish. Where in Louisville there is garbage bins, here there is also compost and recycling bins. I, being big on environmental issues, fully support this.

We’ve been to multiple different places, mostly because Mom and Dad want us to experience New Zealand before we’re sent to school. There’s this huge mall within walking distance, so we go there for groceries, entertainment, and food. I love going shopping, and Mom and Dad gave us 50 NZ dollars to spend. Charles spent his on an arcade. It’s funny, because there are American restaurants here but they’re not the same. For instance, they have a Mcdonalds that has a Mcdip, which I’ve never even heard of. I’m getting off topic. Places we’ve been to. We went to a park by the water, and Dad took us to his work orientation. We checked out our house, which has a balcony with a beautiful view. It also has a piano, which is a big deal, and I’ll tell you why. I am a big piano player, but you can’t transport a piano across the country. We were going to try to rent a keyboard, but this makes things so much easier. I’m so happy!

I personally love New Zealand. I would live here if I could. Charles doesn’t understand why. Really, it’s because of all the recycling and wildlife. It may not be as (how do I say this,) developed as the US, but I love it. New Zealand may be different, but I love change. I think I’m going to really enjoy my adventure.
